The Terminix pest control plan covers the following.
|Terminix pest control services|
Terminix breaks its treatment plan down into two types: first visit and regular visit. The goal of the first visit is to treat your home comprehensively and, after that, you’ll need only very basic maintenance and follow-up treatments.
On the first visit, Terminix will treat the inside and outside of your home. Inside, they treat inside your kitchen cabinets, around your appliances, under your sinks, inside cracks and crevices, inside pipe flanges, and your entire garage. Outside, they start by sweeping soffits and light fixtures to remove spiders and insects. Then, they treat woodpiles, garbage areas, shrub areas, mulch areas, plumbing and electrical entry points, doorframes, and window frames.
Terminix also schedules regular, follow-up visits every three months to maintain a barrier of protection around your home (outside maintenance should be enough to keep pests from re-entering). If the pests return at any time, Terminix will return to your home for free.
Terminix recommends one initial visit and quarterly followups every three months.
Terminix does not list prices on its website. When contacted, the company explained that pricing depends on your specific pest problem. Because Terminix is a franchise, prices will vary. Terminix provides free quotes on their website.
Technically, Terminix has been around since 1927 (the year they developed their first research lab). They went on to become the first company in the world to obtain a termite control patent in 1932. Of course, Terminix has expanded dramatically since the 1930s, acquiring competitors, franchising all over the country, and making their name as an industry giant.
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has awarded Terminix an A rating. According to the BBB, “the BBB has determined that Terminix meets Standards of BBB Accreditation, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints.”
Consumer Affairs has given Terminix 4.5 out of 5 stars based on an astounding 6,509 Terminix reviews.
This review comes from Consumer Affairs:
“I love that we can easily schedule appointments and if there are bugs between routine servicing we can call them out again at no charge. Since our neighbors do nothing on either side of our home this helps tremendously to keep us pretty much bug free. [sic]”
