|Terminix pest control plan|
Coverage for additional pests is available at an additional charge. The Terminix pest control plan does not include coverage for termites, wood-boring beetles, bed bugs, mosquitoes, or any pests not specified as Standard Covered Pests. The following premium pests are not included in the standard plan, but can be treated for an additional charge: fleas, ticks, carpenter ants, fire ants, pharaoh ants, tawny crazy ants, black widow spiders, brown recluse spiders, and bees (yellow jackets, hornets, wasps).
Note: Termites are covered under the Termite Control service and bed bugs are covered under the Bed Bug Removal service.
Terminix offers a quarterly pest control service that begins with an initial visit. During this visit, a Terminix technician will treat the inside and outside of your house and develop a customized plan for protection. The initial service is followed up by a treatment every season for a total of four treatments each year.
If any pests come back, a Terminix technician will come back to your house at no cost to you. If within 30 days after an inspection or treatment you aren’t totally satisfied, Terminix will refund the treatment or coverage charges, reimburse any prepaid services, and cancel your plan (this guarantee is subject to additional limitations and restrictions).
Under the Termite Control service, a trained termite specialist will conduct a thorough inspection of the inside and outside of your home, carefully looking for evidence of termite activity and potential access points. Based on the technician’s findings, a customized treatment and/or protection plan will be created for your house. During each year of your termite control plan, a technician will come out and make sure your home is free of all termite activity. If termites are found during one of these visits, Terminix will treat your home at no additional cost.
If your home qualifies for the Ultimate Protection® Guarantee, you’ll never pay for termite treatments or repairs from new termite damage as long as you keep your plan. If you’re not 100% satisfied within 30 days of an inspection or treatment, Terminix will give you your money back. Note: The Ultimate Protection guarantee isn’t available in portions of Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Alabama.
For the basic pest control plan, Terminix provides an initial visit and quarterly followups (one each season). For every year your termite control plan is active, a technician will come out and make sure your home is free of termite activity.
After filling out a form for the basic pest control service on the Terminix website, you will be notified if your area is serviced by a Terminix franchise and will be given a number to call for your price estimate. When contacted, the company explained that pricing depends on your specific pest problem. With the Termite Control and Bed Bug Removal services, you can schedule a free inspection where a specialist will give you a quote for the recommended services.
Technically, Terminix has been around since 1927 (the year the Bruce-Terminix Research Laboratory was founded). It went on to become the first company in the world to obtain a termite control patent in 1932. Of course, Terminix has grown drastically since the 1930s, expanding its business internationally, introducing eco-focused offerings, and making its name as an industry giant.
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) has awarded Terminix an A rating. According to the BBB, “the BBB has determined that Terminix meets Standards of BBB Accreditation, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints.”
Consumer Affairs has given Terminix an A rating and 4.5 out of 5 stars based on an astounding 3,579 Terminix ratings submitted in the last year.
This review comes from Consumer Affairs:
“I love that we can easily schedule appointments and if there are bugs between routine servicing we can call them out again at no charge. Since our neighbors do nothing on either side of our home this helps tremendously to keep us pretty much bug free. [sic]”
