Our mission is to save U.S. homeowners over 1 billion hours each year on the time and hassle it takes to research home maintenance and repair problems.

Our process is simple: we dig in and do the research for you. We listen to thousands of customer service calls, read the brand’s contracts and fine print, and try out the products and services. We’ve built a state-of-the-art studio in our office to test products and conduct our research, providing you with verified, unbiased, and honest recommendations. Why do we do this? So you have all the facts you need to make an informed decision.

Karsten got his start in the solar industry studying clean energy policy, technology, and environmental education in New Orleans. During his time in the solar industry, Karsten worked on public service commissioner (PSC) campaigns and mayoral initiatives, advocated for clean energy policy at city council meetings and helped plan or execute hundreds of solar installations throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Emily Shiver, Veterinary Expert

Emily Shiver, CVPM, CCFP, CVBL, is a certified veterinary practice manager who has spent 22 years serving the veterinary industry. Her passion is educating clients and providing top patient care. She attends conferences on a regular basis and maintains working in the veterinary practice to stay current on changes in the industry. Shiver enjoys every aspect of working with pets and their owners and strives to improve every client experience. She maintains her Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional certification and is also a Certified Veterinary Business Leader. 

Michelle Griffith, Real Estate Expert

With over $300 million in sales, Michelle is well known for her highly intuitive, organized and results-driven approach which has led her to great success. David Miller, Insurance Expert

David Miller is a VP Client Executive for Personal Lines at Plexus Groupe. He’s an insurance executive specializing in the unique personal insurance needs of high-net-worth individuals and their families. He has an expansive understanding of state-specific insurance laws that may affect those owning out-of-state homes and cars or by parents with children in out-of-state schools. With nearly 30 years of experience in the personal lines insurance industry, Miller is well-versed in the underwriting, market conditions, and politics that can affect the ability to secure coverage in catastrophe-prone areas.
