Robotic vacuums are perfect for those who don’t have the time during the week to clean their floors. You’ve probably heard of Roomba vacuums, and though they’re incredibly great at what they do, they may be slightly overpriced for some consumers. The eufy RoboVac 11+ is an affordable robot vacuum that cleans hard floors and low-pile carpet with ease. Keep reading to determine if this is the best robot vacuum is right for you.

Overall score: 9.6/10

The value prop

This affordable robot vacuum cleans hard floors and low-pile carpet with its upgraded 3-point cleaning system and impressive 100-minute run time. Choose from six different cleaning modes and enjoy this robot’s Boost IQ Technology that automatically increases suction power in areas that need it most.

Pros
  • This vacuum features drop-sensing technology that prevents it from falling off ledges and down the stairs.
  • It automatically returns to its charging dock its battery gets low.
  • It has an upgraded, 3-point cleaning system for powerful suction.
Cons
  • It isn’t compatible with WiFi, so you won’t be able to control this robot from your smartphone.
  • It doesn’t come with an accessory (like a virtual wall barrier) that prevents it from vacuuming certain areas of your home.

Eufy RoboVac 11+ design

The eufy RoboVac 11+ has a circular shape and an anti-scratch, tempered glass cover. On the bottom of the vacuum cleaner, you’ll find 11 infrared sensors toward the front of the device, a drop sensor, a swivel wheel, two side brushes, and a central rolling brush. Another bonus: the RoboVac has drop sensors that prevent it from falling down the stairs. As one of the smaller robotic vacuums we’ve reviewed, it’s a great choice for apartments and tight spaces.

Some other important design features of the eufy RoboVac 11+ include:

  • An upgraded front bumper that streamlines this robot’s maneuverability
  • A reinforced suction inlet that prevents normal wear and tear
  • BoostIQ Technology that automatically increases suction power in areas where extra vacuuming strength is needed

Vacuum assembly

The eufy already comes assembled, but we had to charge the vacuum before use. To set up the charging base, we placed it on a hard, level surface against a wall. We ensured there were no objects within the immediate area that could block the RoboVac from performing. The status light on top of the vacuum cleaner will indicate the level of charge.

  • Breathing blue means the vacuum is Charging.
  • Solid blue means the vacuum is in Standby or Cleaning mode.
  • Solid purplish-red means Low power.
  • Flashing solid red indicates that the RoboVac has an error.

Note: If the charging base isn’t plugged in, the Eufy RoboVac will not automatically return to it.

How the eufy RoboVac 11+ cleans

For optimal performance, use the eufy on bare floors or carpets with short, firm textures. Eufy doesn’t recommend using the RoboVac on thick or plush carpets. There are six different cleaning modes you can set the vacuum to.

  • Auto cleaning—In this mode, your RoboVac automatically cleans your floors in a back-and-forth, straight-line pattern. This is the most commonly used cleaning mode.
  • Spot cleaning—For smaller messes, set your RoboVac to this mode. It will intensively clean a specific area in a spiral pattern and stop after two minutes.
  • Edge cleaning—Though this vacuum has a circular shape, it can clean around edges with ease. When it detects a wall, it reduces its speed and follows along the wall to ensure the edges are cleaned. The vacuum will stop cleaning after 20 minutes.
  • Single room cleaning—If one of your rooms is a total mess, the single room mode is exactly what you need. For 30 minutes, your RoboVac will clean an entire room. Make sure to confine the vacuum to the room by closing the door.
  • Manual cleaning—Using the included remote control, you can direct your RoboVac to clean a particular area by pushing the directional buttons on the remote.
  • Schedule cleaning—If you’re constantly on the go, you can set a cleaning schedule for your vacuum. To ensure the schedule is set successfully, make sure the RoboVac is turned on. You’ll hear a beep when the schedule has been set.

Note: When you enable the Power Boost feature (only available in Auto cleaning mode), the eufy RoboVac 11+ will automatically increase its suction power if it notices that an area requires more cleaning. Power Boost is ideal for cleaning thicker carpets and hard-to-sweep messes.

What to note about the eufy RoboVac 11+

Since the eufy RoboVac 11+ offers only a power button on its chassis, you’ll be interacting with it mainly through the remote control. This remote lets you choose one of six cleaning modes. In addition, the RoboVac 11+ relies on infrared sensors to clean, so Eufy doesn’t recommend using this vacuum on dark floors or high-pile carpets.

How big is the eufy RoboVac 11+?

Dimension Measurement
Height 3.4 inches
Length 12.8 inches
Width 12.8 inches
Dust bin capacity 0.15 gallons

Accessories included with the eufy RoboVac 11+

The eufy RoboVac comes with a charging base, a remote control (complete with two AAA batteries), a power adapter, a cleaning tool, two additional side brushes, an additional high-performance filter, an additional foam filter, and an owner’s manual quick start guide. We love that two additional filters and two additional side brushes were included.

One accessory we wish the Boost vacuum did come with is a “virtual wall.” This would have helped us create boundaries to prevent the vacuum from cleaning areas we didn’t want it to clean.

Cleaning tests

We performed three different tests that measured suction power, maneuverability, and mobility on hard floors, low-pile carpet, and high-pile carpet. For our suction tests, we used Cheerios, kitty litter, coffee grounds, and pet hair.

Cleaning score: 9.63/10

Test 1—Suction test on hard floors

On hard floors, the eufy RoboVac 11+ performed exceptionally well. It sucked up all of the Cheerios in just one pass and took two passes to remove the kitty litter, coffee grounds, and pet hair.

Test 2—Suction test on high-pile carpet

Since the manufacturer doesn’t recommend using this robot vacuum on high-pile carpet, we didn’t test the vacuum on this surface.

Test 3—Suction test on low-pile carpet

Similar to the hard floor test, the eufy powered through on low-pile carpet. It removed the Cheerios and pet hair in one pass and the kitty litter and coffee grounds in three passes.

Maneuverability

During our suction tests, we observed that the RoboVac 11+ was able to get around furniture with ease. It had no problem transitioning from hard floors to low-pile carpet and never fell down the stairs thanks to its drop-sensing technology. Its low-profile design also allowed it to clean under low-set furniture without hesitation.

Usability

This eufy uses Bounce technology to navigate when cleaning. It goes straight until it detects an obstacle and will subsequently change direction. On spot cleaning mode, it moves around in a circle. Though this robot vacuum doesn’t have WiFi capabilities, it can still be set to clean with a remote control: you can either set the RoboVac’s cleaning path or preset a cleaning time.

Noise

The eufy RoboVac 11+ was one of the quietest vacuums we tested, measuring 70.1 decibels, which is similar to the noise level of a dishwasher. For reference, traditional vacuums typically fall between 78 and 80 decibels.

Eufy RoboVac 11+ maintenance

In general, this robot vacuum requires very minimal maintenance. However, there are a few items you should tend to on a regular basis to ensure the vacuum stays in top condition and performs at its best.

Emptying the vacuum

Emptying this robot vacuum is extremely easy. Press the dust collector release button to pull the bin out and then empty the contents into a trash bin. It’s recommended that you empty the dust collector and after every use.

Filtration

This eufy comes with a high-performance filter and foam filter. It’s recommended that you clean the foam filter after every use. You can wash the foam filter with water, but do not wash the high-performance filter with water, as it may damage the filter and reduce the vacuum’s suction power.

Is the eufy RoboVac 11+ a good value?

The RoboVac 11+ cleans floors just as well as other robot vacuums that cost twice as much. We appreciate the six different cleaning modes for a more precise clean and love how easy it is for the vacuum to maneuver around and under furniture. If you want a robotic vacuum without breaking the bank, we definitely recommend the eufy RoboVac 11+ with Boost IQ technology.

Who should buy the eufy RoboVac 11+?

We recommend the eufy RoboVac 11+ if you’re looking for the following:

  • A quiet and slim robot—With a low height of 3.4 inches and quiet performance, this robot vacuum is able to glide under furniture and clean without interruption.
  • HEPA filtration—This vacuum cleaner comes with a HEPA filter and cleans pet hair and allergens, keeping your floors (and indoor air) clean.

Customer reviews

We purchased this vac about a month ago. We love it. After only a month, I can’t attest to the longevity of the product, but we love the job it does. It gets stuck once and a while on power cords and very tight spots, but I’m sure they all do. It does a very good job and gets under the beds easily where with a traditional vac it is very difficult. We have a small dog and we are amazed at the hair in the dust bin after every vacuum run. What I usually do is put it in a room, shut the door, and use the ‘room’ option which will run for 30 minutes. We are still impressed with this product and recommend it.” — Amazon review

This Eufy does everything I need it to. I have a large open kitchen/dining/living room. There are area rugs (without tassels) and lots of corners. The Eufy cleans it all while rarely getting stuck. It gets over the rugs and under the kitchen cupboards. We have cats and dogs and it cleans up hair great. My guess is that the more expensive models don’t clean better—they just have bells and whistles like programmability and a map memory. Yes, this Eufy doesn’t remember where it’s been and repeats areas, but so what? It eventually cleans the whole space extremely well. It is quiet, except for the beeping when it gets stuck. My only complaint is that you can’t turn off the beeping, so it will beep constantly if it gets stuck, which means we can’t run it at night.” — Amazon review
