Transparency to you, our reader, is our top priority.

We believe everyone should be able to make decisions about their home with confidence. While our site doesn’t review every home products or services company in the market, we’re proud that our reviews and recommendations are objective, independent, straightforward — and free.

So how do we make money? Our content is free to you, the reader, because we may earn a commission when you click or make a purchase using our site. This may influence which products we review and write about (and where those products appear on the site), but it in no way affects our recommendations or advice, which are grounded in thousands of hours of independent research. We sometimes offer premium or additional placements on our website and in our marketing materials to our advertising partners but our partners cannot, and do not, pay us to guarantee favorable reviews of their products or services. If you choose to click on the links on our site, we may receive compensation, which then funds our operations.

If you have any specific questions while considering which product or service you may buy, feel free to reach out to us anytime or read our full policy here

Rodents (house mouse, roof rat, Norway rat)

What to expect

Massey Services emphasizes that it’s more than a pest control company—it’s a pest prevention company. Though they will address and target specific pest problems, Massey will also create a plan to prevent future pest issues.

According to its website, Massey uses a five-pronged approach to pest prevention:

  1. A Massey professional will perform a thorough, initial pest inspection both inside and outside your home.
  2. The professional will identify any existing issues and build a customized program for your home.
  3. After, the professional will eliminate any existing pest problems.
  4. A Massey expert will then inspect and seal off any new entry points during every visit.
  5. They will make targeted Pest Prevention treatments to the outside of your home.

Treatment frequency

If you are unsatisfied with Massey’s services, they will send someone to perform corrective services for free. If, after 30 days, your pest problem persists, Massey will either continue to provide corrective service for free or they will send you a 100% refund for you most recent service payment.

Massey also promises that if you have a problem in between your regularly scheduled visits, they will send someone out within 24 hours to handle your additional issues at no additional cost.

Massey doesn’t list their prices online, but encourages customers to reach out for a quote. Also, your first inspection with Massy is 100% free. They will come to your home, diagnose your pest problem, and recommend a treatment plan. This is a particularly good deal when you’re not exactly sure what you’re dealing with.

Years in business

Massey Services has been around for more than 30 years and employs approximately 1,900 team members. Massey Services operates according to its company vision: “to build long-term, trusting relationships with our customers through environmentally responsible and superior service.” Harvey L. Massey, Massey Services’ founder, is still very much involved in the day-to-day business of the company.

BBB rating

Massey Services is not Better Business Bureau (BBB) accredited, but they have received an A+ rating from the BBB.

Companies must pay to be considered for BBB accreditation, so our best guess is they were not interested in paying the fee.

Massey Services reviews

Massey Services has published the following review on their website:

“I was highly recommended by a friend to call Massey Services to speak to a [technician] about pest [prevention] services. I found [my technician] to be very knowledgeable and well versed in his field. I must say it was very refreshing to talk to someone who knows what he is talking about these days. In my opinion, [my technician] is a true professional and totally represents your company with pride.”
