Transparency to you, our reader, is our top priority.

We believe everyone should be able to make decisions about their home with confidence. While our site doesn’t review every home products or services company in the market, we’re proud that our reviews and recommendations are objective, independent, straightforward — and free.

So how do we make money? Our content is free to you, the reader, because we may earn a commission when you click or make a purchase using our site. This may influence which products we review and write about (and where those products appear on the site), but it in no way affects our recommendations or advice, which are grounded in thousands of hours of independent research. We sometimes offer premium or additional placements on our website and in our marketing materials to our advertising partners but our partners cannot, and do not, pay us to guarantee favorable reviews of their products or services. If you choose to click on the links on our site, we may receive compensation, which then funds our operations.

If you have any specific questions while considering which product or service you may buy, feel free to reach out to us anytime or read our full policy here

Summary

Ehrlich offers “green pest control service.” This means (according to the Ehrlich website):

  1. Inspections—Focus on conditions that can attract pests, such as moisture.
  2. Eliminate entry points—Seal cracks and crevices.
  3. Continual monitoring—Identify problems before they get out of hand.
  4. Low-impact materials—Devices such as gel baits and mechanical traps minimize material use, as do innovative materials that can be used in organic facilitates. Our termite monitoring and baiting systems are green and effective.
  5. Applications made only when and where necessary—Targeted applications with the precise amount of material needed to get the job done. No more. No less.
  6. Physical elimination of pests—Use innovative techniques like vacuuming, heat treatment, or steam.

Ehrlich offers services only in Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Washington, DC.

Cost

Ehrlich doesn’t list any prices on its website. Instead, they suggest that you call for a tailored quote.

Years in business

Ehrlich was founded by Julius C. Ehrlich in 1928. At the time, Ehrlich was a salesman peddling insecticides and fogging equipment. At a customer’s suggestion, Ehrlich began offering to apply the insecticides himself.

According to the Ehrlich website, “in these early days, the service team consisted of Mr. Ehrlich, his wife and daughter, who placed rat bait in small pieces of bread.” They now have over 100 local offices serving the Eastern United States.

BBB rating

The BBB gives Ehrlich an A+ based on the following criteria:

  1. Their complaint history
  2. The type of business
  3. How long they’ve been in business
  4. Transparency
  5. Whether or not they cooperate with the BBB
  6. Holding proper licences and government permits
  7. Avoiding false advertising

Although they have an excellent rating, Ehrlich is not BBB accredited. You have to pay to be considered for BBB accreditation. Ehrlich reviews are great, and the company isn’t interested in paying for accreditation.

Ehrlich reviews

There are multiple Ehrlich reviews online and Claudette, an Ehrlich customer, left this review on their website:

“I have been using your services for many years. First at my previous home and my current home. I have been pleased with your company for more than 25 years. Your service technicians have always been professional and courteous.”
