Transparency to you, our reader, is our top priority.

We believe everyone should be able to make decisions about their home with confidence. While our site doesn’t review every home products or services company in the market, we’re proud that our reviews and recommendations are objective, independent, straightforward — and free.

So how do we make money? Our content is free to you, the reader, because we may earn a commission when you click or make a purchase using our site. This may influence which products we review and write about (and where those products appear on the site), but it in no way affects our recommendations or advice, which are grounded in thousands of hours of independent research. We sometimes offer premium or additional placements on our website and in our marketing materials to our advertising partners but our partners cannot, and do not, pay us to guarantee favorable reviews of their products or services.
