Transparency to you, our reader, is our top priority.
We believe everyone should be able to make decisions about their home with confidence. While our site doesn’t review every home products or services company in the market, we’re proud that our reviews and recommendations are objective, independent, straightforward — and free.
So how do we make money? Our content is free to you, the reader, because we may earn a commission when you click or make a purchase using our site. This may influence which products we review and write about (and where those products appear on the site), but it in no way affects our recommendations or advice, which are grounded in thousands of hours of independent research. We sometimes offer premium or additional placements on our website and in our marketing materials to our advertising partners but our partners cannot, and do not, pay us to guarantee favorable reviews of their products or services. If you choose to click on the links on our site, we may receive compensation, which then funds our operations.

NordicTrack offers four different elliptical series: the Freestride Trainer series, the Front Drive series, the Rear Drive series, and the ACT Mid-Mech series.
NordicTrack Freestride Trainers are designed to be incredibly low impact. According to their website, “the unique floating suspension system takes away the normal limits of a crank-connected pedal, so you control the length of your stride. Get the toning benefits of a stepper, the cardio benefits of a treadmill, and the total-body conditioning of an elliptical.”
The Freestride Trainers come in three models. The main difference between them is their console. The FreeStride Trainer FS5i comes with a tablet holder, the FreeStride Trainer FS7i comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, and the FreeStride FS9i comes with a 10-inch touchscreen.
The NordicTrack Front Drive series features oversized cushion pedals and Soft Touch upper body grips, providing comfort during your zero-impact, total-body workout. The Front Drive series also includes heart rate monitoring, auxiliary ports, incline controls, and personal coaching. The Front Drive series comes in five different models.
NordicTrack Rear Drive models deliver low-impact cardio that closely simulates running. You’ll feel like you’re jogging along a footpath, but with all the cushioning of a top-of-the-line elliptical. These products come with a SpaceSaver design that allows you to fold the equipment up to maximize your space. The Rear Drive series comes in two models.
The NordicTrack ACT Mid-Mech series offers a compact design with GlobeTrek workouts, personalized coaching, iFit Coach compatibility, adjustable pedals, and stride adjustment. The ACT Mid-Mech series comes in three different models.
