Because of its Hyper-Elastic Polymer top layer, the Purple mattress clocks in at a 6–7 on the 10-point firmness scale, but is designed to be more universally comfortable than most mid–firm mattresses.
The foam support layers are intended to keep sinkage to a minimum, while the Hyper-Elastic Polymer is designed to do more than most memory foam mattress top layers. The top layer is designed to prevent sinking unless your body exerts enough pressure to sink (this is based on your weight, sleep style, and body type). This means that the parts of your body that need to sink to alleviate pressure on your spine, shoulders, and hips are able to sink, but the rest of your body is supported.
Purple recommends their mattress for back, stomach, and side sleepers.
Purple offers a 10-year, non-prorated warranty. Keep in mind your warranty can be voided unless you keep your mattress on a firm, flat, solid surface. If your mattress develops an indentation more than one inch deep or if the materials crack, split, or fail during normal use, Purple will replace your mattress. The Purple warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.

“I suffer from arthritis in my left shoulder and I prefer to sleep on my left side. on my bed before my purple mattress. If I tried this I would wake up in the middle of the night due to the pressure placed on my shoulder joint. The Purple mattress allows me to sleep through the night without pain waking me up.I also purchased the sheets along with the pillow and am very pleased with the products I sleep much better thanks to these products.” — Ronald B.
“I’ve been waiting to get a purple mattress for a few years now. I finally was able to get one recently. It’s pretty good but it seems like it’s taking longer than usual for my body to adjust to it. My neck is the worst, I keep waking up with weird kinks and soreness in the back of my neck and upper back. Hopefully that will end soon. Other than that(lol) I love the mattress.” — Tyler O.
