Layla Review

The House Method team researches, reviews, and recommends a number of services, including pest control services. Affiliate disclosure.

The Layla mattress is a copper-infused, double-sided mattress. Because you can sleep on the firm side or the soft side, we won’t list components from top to bottom. Beginning with the firmest layer, Layla is made of:

  • 1 inch of copper-infused memory foam
  • 4.5 inches of firm base foam
  • 2 inches of convoluted foam for maximum airflow and cooling
  • 3 inches of copper-infused memory foam for deep support and extra pressure point relief

The Layla mattress is infused with copper because of its conductivity. When the copper cells compress, they draw the heat away from your body to allow for cooler sleep. Copper is also known for its antimicrobial properties, which means it has the ability “to kill or inactivate microbes such as bacteria, fungi, molds and viruses.”

Why Layla gets a perfect score

Not only does Layla offer free shipping and returns (and even refunds your shipping cost), its double-sided construction makes it the perfect mattress for the indecisive or those on the fence about the firmness they need and prefer. Layla mattresses are also Certi-Pur Certified, which means Layla is made without ozone depleters, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and phthalates.

And with a lifetime warranty, Layla has made it clear that they stand by the quality of this mattress.

Layla also scores at a one out of five on our pricing scale, meaning that its mattresses are priced well below its peers in the same category.

When compressed, the copper cells within the mattress create a “firming response” where your body sinks into the mattress. This helps alleviate pressure points and, according to the Layla team, makes their mattress a side sleeper’s dream.

According to a Layla representative, the firm side of the mattress (the one with the 1-inch layer of copper-infused memory foam) is about a 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale. The softer side (the one with three inches of copper-infused memory foam) is about a 4 out of 10.

  • Layla does not offer white glove services.

  • Layla offers a four-month trial period and suggests that you wait at least two weeks before you decide whether to keep your mattress.

Layla offers a lifetime warranty. The warranty does not cover personal dissatisfaction with the feel of the mattress or any normal wear and tear. It does cover:

  1. Seams coming apart
  2. Visible permanent compression of the mattress surface greater than one inch

The following circumstances will void your warranty:

  1. Leaving the Layla mattress in the box for more than two weeks after receiving it
  2. Using an inferior boxspring or foundation that doesn’t have the proper center support
  3. Using a metal bed frame that doesn’t have a center support bar
  4. Using the Layla mattress for any commercial use, i.e., hotels, motels, rental properties, hostels, dorms, schools, shelters, rooming and boarding homes, bread and breakfasts, Airbnb properties, etc.

Layla mattress reviews

If you’re still on the fence about buying a mattress from this provider, here are some Layla mattress reviews from verified buyers on the Layla website.

We have it in the softer side and it’s perfect! Not hard at all. But not super plush either. Haven’t had the need to flip it yet, so i can’t review the harder side. It opened quickly once we unwrapped it. It took probably 48 hours to get the initial smell to go away, but it’s been fine ever since. I would recommend this mattress to anyone!” — Dana S.

It’s gotten more comfortable, but I still have pain and stiffness in my hips which causes me to toss and turn a lot. I’m not yet convinced it’s the right mattress for me, but I’m not ready to give up on it. Hope it gets better.” — Timothy C.
