The Amerisleep comes in several different levels of firmness:
For side sleepers, Amerisleep recommends the AS4. This mattress is the best for sleepers who put most of their pressure on their hips and shoulders because it offers the most pressure relief. The AS4 ranks between a 4 and 5 on a firmness scale of 10.
For back sleepers, Amerisleep recommends the AS2. The AS2 is intended to “keep the spine in its natural alignment while pressure relief keeps pains and a sore back calm.” The AS2 ranks between a 6.5 and 8.
For stomach sleepers, Amerisleep recommends the AS1. Stomach sleepers need only moderate support to ensure neck alignment and that the spine and hips stay in a natural position. The AS1 ranks between a 6.5 and 8.
For combination sleepers, Amerisleep recommends the AS3. This middle-firmness mattress provides the perfect amount of support and pressure relief to accommodate for changes in position throughout the night. The AS3 ranks between a 4 and 6 on the firmness scale.
All Amerisleep mattresses come with a 20-year warranty. This warranty includes full repair or replacement for the first 10 years and a pro-rated warranty for years 10 to 20. This warranty, like most, is reserved for manufacturer errors and workmanship or structural defects and does not cover any damage you inflict or normal wear and tear.

Liz from Indiana reviewed the AS2 mattress, and said:
“I use this as my primary sleep surface. I’ve really enjoyed the low level of motion transfer; I’m a light sleeper and my partner flops around like a fish so he woke me up often on our spring mattress. That’s definitely not a problem anymore! Although, we can’t decide if this is too firm for us or not. I feel very supported, don’t wake up sore as often, and definitely sleep better. However, after sleeping a full night, I don’t get up because I’m rested; I get up because I’m getting too sore to lay down anymore.”
Mike from Arizona reviewed the AS5 mattress, and said:
“Paid over $5,000 for high end traditional mattress and replaced it with Amerisleep. Bed forms to my body nicely and returns to original shape quickly. Feels more like a traditional mattress, we also have a Tempur-Pedic mattress that was moved into guest room. Didn’t like slow response of memory foam, felt like rolling out of a hole. Amerisleep mattress almost instantly responds to movement. Highly recommend! If it lasts 10 years, the price is a steal.“
The Nectar mattress is perfect for sleepers who need firmness but love that sinking-into-the-bed feeling. Nectar also offers one of the longest trial periods available—365 days.
Airweave mattresses are some of the firmest on the market, coming in at around 8.5–9.5 on the 10-point firmness scale. See more on airweave pricing, shipping, and warranty terms.
