Why Trust House Method
House Method’s Experts collected and analyzed 2000+ critical data points to identify what makes a great home warranty company in the eye of the consumer. Our reviews team used this data to assess over 60 home warranty providers for coverage extent, annual cost, and national availability to provide unbiased reviews so homeowners can confidently navigate key decisions about their homes.
Super offers three plans—Secure, Signature, and Lux—for an average of $64–$119 a month. Super also provides optional coverage for items like your pool, spa, outdoor plumbing, and guest house for an additional cost.
Secure coverage: $64.00 per month ($768.00 for an annual plan). This plan covers most home systems and appliances, plus maintenance services like window cleaning and pest control.
Signature Coverage: $75.00 per month ($869.00 for an annual plan). This plan covers everything under Secure Coverage, plus the “It’s Covered Upgrade.” This upgrade includes home warranty coverage for elements of your heating, indoor plumbing, water heater, microwave, and other items.
Below are all of the items included in the “It’s Covered Upgrade.”
Lux Coverage: $119.00 per month ($1,399.00 for an annual plan). This plan covers everything under the Signature plan, plus the following items and services:
Optional Coverage: In addition to Super’s home warranty plans, the company also offers coverage for the following items.
Note: All Super home warranty plans have a $75 service fee. This means that every time a contractor comes to your house to address a claim, you’ll pay them a $75 fee.
This graph represents the monthly premium customers would pay under Super’s most basic plan against what they would pay for competitor plans. Note: these prices do not include the service fee amount.
To truly understand what comprehensive coverage means when talking about home warranties, our team at House Method surveyed 1,000 homeowners and asked them which items in their homes were most valuable to them.
We discovered that the top systems and appliances people care about are the electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, refrigerator, washer/dryer, and oven/stove/range.
Super doesn’t have a sample contract on their site like a traditional home warranty provider, but they break down what’s covered under each plan. Call a customer service representative from the company before signing up to understand exactly what is and isn’t covered with your subscription.
Super offers a 12-month contract with a 30-day cancellation period. If you cancel before your agreement, Super will provide a full refund.
Super’s warranty coverage benefits begin 15 days after the subscription purchase. The 15-day waiting period is waived for customers with buyer’s coverage on recent home purchases. For customers past the 15-day waiting period, you can schedule service immediately.
There’s no cap on the number of breakdown incidents customers can claim with Super, but all claims are subject to coverage limits. Here are a few major systems and appliances and their coverage limits under each Super plan.

Super is available in Arizona, Texas, Illinois, Maryland, and Washington D.C. If you don’t live in one of those states, check out our State Home Warranty Guides to find a home warranty that’s right for you.
If Super were available nationwide, we’d recommend it to more homeowners. This home subscription service combines all of your home needs into one easy-to-use platform. We could go on and on about the benefits of Super, but we’ll discuss just a few in detail below.
For one, Super offers some of the most incredible coverage compared to traditional home warranty providers. Not only does it protect significant systems and appliances like your dishwasher, air conditioning, and plumbing, it offers multiple add-ons and home maintenance services with each plan.
For example, their most basic plan covers 19 systems and appliances and 11 maintenance services like pest control, weed kill treatment, and carpet cleaning—again, we think this is pretty remarkable, considering no other home warranty company does this.
Additionally, we recognize that the cost of Super plans is higher than the industry average, but we think it’s worth it for the coverage you get.
Moving on to user-friendliness, Super has one of the most accessible websites to navigate, with plans, coverage, and pricing easily laid out for consumers to find. They have an entire FAQ section dedicated to answering all types of user questions, from what the subscription covers and the claims process to what special rewards are available to customers.
And if you weren’t already in love with Super, the company offers Service Rewards that can be earned by referring friends or family to the company. Policyholders can use these rewards on any maintenance or Concierge service (think: handyman work, electrical services, gutter cleaning, etc.) scheduled through Super. They can’t be applied toward a co-pay.
This new subscription concept makes home expenses more predictable to homeowners, streamlines home repairs and maintenance, and keeps users organized. In this day and age, when everybody’s busy and on the go, a home warranty subscription service like Super is exactly what people need.
As a consumer, you probably don’t have the time to sit around and sift through the hundreds of reviews left by Super Home Warranty customers. That’s where we come in. At House Method, we go through user complaints, reviews, and ratings of each home warranty company and compile that information in a easy chart for you to read.
Below, we’ve included Super ratings compared to the industry average.
REVIEWER | SUPER RATINGS | INDUSTRY AVERAGE RATINGS |

Awesome service. Quick to respond. This company is the only warranty company that I can recommend to my friends in good conscience. They even help me with other stuff not covered by the warranty, like blinds and remodeling with their concierge service. I would rate this company 1 million out of 10!
Peyton G., on March 19, 2018, said:
Super has been a lifesaver! I have had 2 occasions where I have needed their services in the last 6 months and they have saved me a lot of money if I had gone somewhere else or tried to find a servicer on my own. It also helps that everyone I talk to seems to be pretty friendly and efficient.
