Home Depot offers a variety of protection plans for home systems and appliances purchased from its store. Plans purchased on or after February 1, 2021, are all produced by Asurion. Any coverage bought after that date is administered by Home Depot’s new underwriter, Allstate.
All appliances and systems generally have a limited one-year manufacturer’s warranty for factory defects or flaws. Only after that initial warranty period expires will you be eligible for an extended warranty through Home Depot. Secondary protection plans must, however, be purchased within the first 90 days of ownership.
