House Method Gives Back Terms & Conditions

This document outlines the Terms and Conditions for all grants and awards administered by Nina Ship, LLC and its affiliates (“Nina Ship” or “Sponsor”). All grants and awards will be referred to as ‘award’ herein. By submitting an application for our award, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

You must read these Terms and Conditions in their entirety before you accept your award offer. When you accept your award, you are agreeing to and accepting these Terms and Conditions and agree to the requirements and conditions of your award.

Please note that our full Privacy Policy contains an overview of the personal information we may collect from you, what we do with such information and what your rights are related to such data. Please read our Privacy Policy before entering into any awards. By submitting an application for our award, you agree to all terms and conditions contained in our Privacy Policy.

Please note, if you are under 18 years of age, your parent or guardian must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions on your behalf.

All correspondence between applicant and Nina Ship, LLC, will be operated primarily via email, with the option of telephone communication, based on Nina Ship’s decision. 

According to the deadline listed in any award collateral, a panel of qualified judges will select one (1) potential winner per award based on the criteria of applicant’s level of need; applicant’s impact and commitment to their community / lives of others; overall quality of application; special consideration given to applicants with public charity status (tax-exempt under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code): civic, culture and arts, community development, education, health and human services; special consideration given to applicants that have the potential to raise awareness to House Method Gives Back; and special consideration to those that live in the RDU area. At least one (1) of the submitted applications will be selected as the potential winning application. In the event of a tie, the potential winner will be the applicant with the higher score for overall excellence. The potential winner will be notified by email. Sponsor shall have no liability for any potential winner notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received by the potential winner for any reason. Nina Ship reserves the right to choose no award prize recipient if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified applications. Portions of the prize winning application may be posted on the Sponsor’s website, or used in other marketing materials, without further compensation or notice to the winner.

Any successful applicant must be (1) a U.S. citizens and homeowner or (2) a duly-formed U.S. organization. All applicants offered awards will receive an official ‘offer’ email offering the funds, and must reply either accepting or rejecting this offer within 14 days of receipt. Failure to respond within this 14-day period may result in the award offer being withdrawn and reassigned. You must accept your award offer by the due date, as instructed in your offer email, to be eligible to receive payment.

Nina Ship, LLC, will make payment of the funds in one single installment, though we reserve the right to make payment in multiple installments, as we see fit.

The total value of the award offered will be outlined in the official offer email. We reserve the right to offer any value of funds, up to the value of $1,000.

The award funds can be paid into your nominated bank account, or by other means, to be discussed between resume companion and you the applicant. Nina Ship reserves the right to make the final decision on how payment is made, and can withdraw the offer of award if an amicable and realistic payment process cannot be reached.

Awards are awarded based on established eligibility criteria. You must meet the eligibility requirements to receive your award payment. The eligibility requirements for the award are outlined on our award page of our website.

Nina Ship is not responsible for and cannot provide you with financial advice on taxation matters. The information provided here is of a general nature only and does not take into account your individual financial circumstances. Nina Ship is not responsible for checking and notifying you of, nor paying any taxation obligations. You must seek appropriate financial advice prior to accepting an award.

In accepting an award from Nina Ship, you agree to WAIVE, RELEASE, AND DISCHARGE Nina Ship, its officers, associates and partner organizations from any and all liability, including but not limited to, any liability arising from the negligence or fault of the entities or persons released, for death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, or actions of any kind which may occur to you during or after the award period, including during or after any travel undertaken as part of the award.

Providing false or misleading information is an offense. If Nina Ship knows or has reason to believe that you have provided false or misleading information, Nina Ship may reassess your entitlement to the award and you will be liable to repay to Nina Ship the total sum of any payments incorrectly made to you.

Nina Ship reserves the right to cancel the award program at any point. Nina Ship reserves the right to share your application with any company affiliates, including personal information such as your name and email address. If you are offered an award, your details (including name, submission, photograph / video and award given) may used by the Nina Ship and / or affiliated organizations for promotional purposes, including but not limited publication to our website, social media channels, print and electronic media.  If you do not wish for your details to be used for promotional purposes, you must notify Nina Ship in writing with your original application.
